Here is “Captain Salt in Oz”, one of the Oz books written by Ruth Plumly Thompson. Copyright 1936 by Reilly & Lee, this is a first printing with illustrated endpapers and 16-page gatherings, as called for in Bilbliographia Oziana. Also in the first edition dust jacket with Captain Salt being the last title on the flap! As a post-1935 publication, this book never had color plates, but does have the color pastedown on the cover.
Condition of the book is near very good–beautiful pastedown, nice spine, and some pale discoloration to rear cover (not quite as much as it appears in the photo). Inside, hinges are tight and there is browning/foxing to the illustrated endpapers as shown. Otherwise, the pages clean with no writing or tears. The dust jacket is good only, price clipped with edge wear, small tears and a little chipping at top of spine and flap edges. Please examine photos. Graphics still bright and beautiful.
