Description

Here are two signed, limited edition Wizard of Oz book from Emerald City Press. In the 1990s, Books of Wonder created a set of these, hardcovers in nice colorful dust jackets with illustrated endpapers. This set includes The Nome King’s Shadow in Oz, written by Gilbert Sprague & illustrated by Donald Abbott. Abbott is known for his W W Denslow-style art. One of a limited edition of 350 printed, signed by author & illustrator, a 1st printing with full number line. Second, we have How the Wizard Came to Oz, written by Abbott, a story of Oscar Diggs himself in his balloon traveling to Oz. This is also a limited edition of 350 printed, signed by author/illustrator, also 1st printing with full number line.

How the Wizard is in near fine condition, with a little edge wear to jacket; Nome King is very good, with former owners name on the half-title page and some closed tears to jacket as shown.
