Here is a nice 1st edition copy of The Scalawagons of Oz book, copyright 1941 by John R. Neill, famous Oz illustrator who continued writing the series for a while. Published by Reilly & Lee, this edition has 16 page gatherings and “Scala-wagons” on two lines on the spine. This Oz title was only published with black and white illustrations, and also has illustrated endpapers. This copy in in good to very good condition overall–a super clean spine and rear cover, though there is a neat repair to the upper corner of front pastedown where someone has applied a small orange overlay and it looks like there is some work to the letters N and S. Inside, the front hinge is tight but has been glue repaired, and the rear hinge is slightly cracked to about half way up. Front endpaper also has someones name and possibly an old price in grease pencil. Book Belongs To page has a pencil inscription, and pages overall are clean and in generally nice condition.
