Here is “Ozoplaning with the Wizard in Oz”, one of the Oz books written by Ruth Plumly Thompson. Copyright 1939 by Reilly & Lee. Since it was published post-1935, this book was never issued with color plates, but has the color pastedown on the cover and illustrated map endpapers. This is a first edition copy wiht 16 page gatherings, as called for in The Book Collectors Guide to Baum. Also with a slightly later dust jacket which is also printed in beautiful full color and lists to Hidden Valley of Oz (1951) on the dust jacket flap.
The book is very good or better overall. The exterior cloth, spine and pastedown are clean with very light wear. Inside is near fine; the Book Belongs To page iis filled in and there is a bookseller’s notation on front endpaper, but otherwise the pages are clean and the binding is tight. A very nice copy. The dust jacket is good plus–looks quite good overall, some wear and a little loss at base of cover, some wrinkling and light fading to spine and an old sticker mark near base. Other minor wear. Not price clipped but with a few tape repairs on back side only. Enclosed in a Brodart cover and still looks quite pretty.
