Here is “Captain Salt in Oz”, one of the Oz books written by Ruth Plumly Thompson. Copyright 1936 by Reilly & Lee, this is a first printing with illustrated endpapers and 16-page gatherings, as called for in Blbliographia Oziana. As a post-1935 publication, this book never had color plates, but does have the color pastedown on the cover.
Condition is very good overall. Pastedown is in very good condition, some lightening to spine, a little spotting at top of the rear cover. Inside, the hinges are tight and there is a 1936 inscription on the half-title page. Age toning to endpapers, slight crack at one page near the end. Pages are otherwise quite good with no marks, writing or tears. A nice copy of a highly collectible Thompson title!
