Here is a 1st edition, 1st printing of Cowardly Lion of Oz, copyright 1923 by Reilly & Lee and authored by Ruth Plumly Thompson. This first printing is identified by the non-standard ampersand (&) on the spine. With 12 full-color plates and black and white illustrated endpapers by John R. Neill. (Reference Book Collector’s Guide to L Frank Baum).
This copy is in good but not quite very good condition overall. Cover pastedown has light wear, wear at spine ends with little tear and wear to spine edges as shown. Inside, hinges are intact, ownership page blank, 12 plates and pages clean. A hard to find Thompson first!
