Here is a rare old “The Theatre” magazine from March 1903. Of interest to us is the tepid critique of the early Wizard of Oz stageplay created by L Frank Baum, where they say “It is a wealth of excellent material wasted on a poor book”. Then they go on with faint praise. The issue also has a nice photograph of the play’s famous Cyclone scene. About 40 pages, oversized, profusely illustrated on high-quality paper. Many other interesting articles as well.
Magazine is in fair overall condition because the cover is split and detached from the rest of the material (probably separately from a bound volume), with edge chipping and tears. The inner pages are still in very nice shape.
