Here is a beautiful little copy of Adventures of a Brownie, illustrated by Wizard of Oz illustrator John R. Neill. Copyright 1908 by Reilly & Britton, this is a circa 1925 (last title listed in rear advertisement is Lost King of Oz) Reilly & Lee printing. One of the rare Children’s Own Book series, it includes Swiss Family Robinson as well. In the blue cloth binding. Contains lavish color endpapers, a color title page and frontispiece, and color illustrations on many of the 58 pages. This is a small book, just 5 1/4″ x 7″.
Exterior is in very good condition. The cover is nice and bright, with a couple small scuffs to pastedown, cloth in nice shape except for a little fading on spine where the staples lie underneath. Interior is near fine–clean endpapers, tight binding, ownership page is blank, light age toning and one page with a light streak across it. Overall one of the nicest copies I’ve seen!
