Description

Here is a fun vintage valentine featuring a ruby red slipper, similar to those worn by Judy Garland in the MGM Wizard of Oz movie. This is not part of the 1940 Loew’s set of 12, but must have come out a little earlier, as this one has a 1938 written date. These early valentines are hard to find. This one asks “Could you Slipper Little Love My Way?” and inside “and Be My Valentine”. What makes this one especially interesting is that it is a variant design from the one I usually sell, which is a bifold that opens up. That one is shown on the bottom in the last photo. This listing is for a single sheet, and with the words in a different location, and is slightly more rounded on the left. It is about 4″ long folded.

In good used condition as shown. A unique addition to your Oz collection!
