Here is a wonderful vintage valentine featuring a ruby red slipper, similar to those worn by Judy Garland in the MGM Wizard of Oz movie. This is not part of the 1940 Loew’s set of 12, but must have come out a little earlier, as this one has a 1936 written date. These early valentines are hard to find. This one asks “Could you Slipper Little Love My Way?” and inside “and Be My Valentine”. It is about 4″ long folded.
Front and interior are in nice condition, rear has an inscription with some rubbing from being in a scrapbook. A unique addition to your Oz collection!
