Description
Wonderful rare advertising booklet written by Oz author Ruth Plumly Thompson for Colgate “ribbon dental cream”–I guess that’s what they used to call toothpaste? This tiny rare booklet is a super rare and iconic Thompson item–way harder to find that the advertising booklets she did for Royal Baking Powder. Just 12 pages, about 4″x5″ softcover, but lovely printing with full color illustrations throughout by “SK”. Undated, but advertised in the 1924 St. Nicholas magazine. Subtitled “The Story of a Little Boy and Girl Who Forgot Something”. Thompson packs a lot into this little book–a witch, a knight, a bear, gnomes, and two children lost in a forest.
In very good condition, light soiling, a few tiny tears to corners and edges of rear cover, stapled binding still intact and pages in nice shape. A little gem for the completist collector.
