Description
Before L. Frank Baum became famous for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, he worked for the family “Castorine” company. Castorine was a sort of miracle axle grease for buggies. See the full story in Bill Thompson’s detailed article in the Spring 2006 Baum Bugle.
Offered here is a Baum’s Castorine business card for Fred H Brock, from somewhat after Frank’s tenure as the address is in Rome instead of Syracuse. Card is in very good condition with a blank back. While Castorine trade cards come up pretty often, this is the first time I’ve been able to offer a business card.
