Here’s another one of L. Frank Baum’s lesser known books, Sky Island. Copyright 1912 by Reilly & Britton; this is a Reilly & Lee later printing, circa 1927. Full color uncaptioned frontispiece, boldface spine imprint; back of half title page is blank.
Book presents nicely overall. Front cover pastedown has a stain at left on clouds but is still quite attractive. Spine cloth is clean but faded. Inside, binding is tight with a small tear to rear hinge and a 1929 inscription to the front endpaper. Ownership page is blank; frontispiece is quite beautiful and clean, as are the pages for the most part. A nice early copy.
