Here is a nice old book written by L. Frank Baum that is NOT an Oz book: The Enchanted Isle of Yew, illustrated by Fanny Y. Cory. Copyright 1903, press of Braunworth & Co, with Bobbs-Merrill on the title page, printed in the 1920’s. This is an unusual cover edition, and also unusual in that it was only issued with 7 color plates instead of the usual 8 or 12! (ref: The Book Collector’s Guide to Baum, p. 206). In my experience, this cover variant is harder to find than the original stamped cloth cover.
Book is in near very good condition, with small chips at top and lower corner of pastedown. Cloth and spine in nice condition. Internally the book is signed in pencil by V Jane S (Vera Jane Shaw), with the front hinge intact and the back lightly cracked. The title page has a 1″ separation at base of gutter. The rest of the pages and the seven color plates are in very good condition, except for one that is detached. See also my Magical Monarch of Mo book in the matching format!
