Description
An early printing of Aunt Jane’s Nieces on the Ranch in original dust jacket. “On the Ranch” is eighth of the series for girls written by L. Frank Baum (Wizard of Oz author) under the Edith Van Dyne pseudonym. Copyright 1913, this a circa 1920s Reily & Lee edition without the oval color illustration on cover (in my experience these are actually harder to find that the Reilly & Britton printings). With B&W frontispiece by E. A. Nelson. Dust jacket lists to AJN Out in the Red Cross, the last title in the series. T
This book is very good minus, with clean cloth and intact binding. A little dirt at top of spine and one endpapers, which also have a 1926 inscription. Pages have light tanning and soiling. Dust jacket is good, with a little chipping at spine ends, minor edge wear, a scuff near the title, and overall darkening to exposure over the years. Now preserved in an archival cover.
