Here is a vintage first edition of Kabumpo in Oz, 16th of the series of Oz books originally written by L. Frank Baum and continued by Ruth Plumly Thompson. Twelve gorgeous color plates by John R. Neill. A first edition, first printing, as described in Bibliographia Oziana: half-title with Kabumpo following the ownership leaf, and a portrait of Dorothy on page 299.
Condition of this book overall is only fair to good, because the front hinge is badly cracked and the first gathering is very loose, with the binding badly cracked at pp 24-25. Rear hinge lightly cracked and a few other pages slightly loose. The exterior is fairly nice, with a little scuffing to the front pastedown, while the spine and rear cover are very good. The Book Belongs to page is blank, while all 12 plates are present and in very good shape. An affordable, as-is copy of a Thompson first.
