Here is a deluxe Easton Press edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, featuring the original artwork by W W Denslow, as in the first edition of 1900 by George M Hill. All 24 vivid, full-color illustrations by W W Denslow are included, as well as the in-text single color illustrations that vary depending on where the characters are in the story. The leather binding has a raised decorated spine as well as gilt impressed cover. Printed on archival paper, all three edges of the text block are gilt. This is the first Easton Press edition of the WWOO, copyright 1989, and this cover style is no longer available on their website. (Newer version is kind of gaudy 😉
Size is 7 7/8″ x 9 1/4″. This book is in beautiful, near fine condition! The only minor flaw is a little bump to the bottom of front and rear cover as shown. Tight binding, pages are in fine condition, ribbon bookmark still intact. Very, very nice! (
