Here is A Magician for One Day, a scarce fairy tale book of the rare Magic Wand Series illustrated by John R. Neill of Wizard of Oz fame. Illustrated endpapers, red illustrations and embellishments. Hardcover (small 4.5 x 6″), charmingly penned by Tudor Jenks. Published by Henry Altemus Co, copyright 1905, early format with gilt design–see http://henryaltemus.com/series/series129.htm. Very collectible title, and this copy from Oz-great Fred Meyer’s collection. Will come with a statement of provenance.
Book is near very good overall, with a nice cover, some darkening and wear to the spine. Interior clean with intact hinges, one endpaper (likely with prior owner’s name) missing, otherwise clean pages. With an old Wizard of Oz membership slip with FRED MEYER written on the back in his handwriting.
