Description
Here is a pretty copy of The Patchwork Girl of Oz book with an unusual olive green decorated cloth cover (usually blue or tan). Written by L. Frank Baum, published by Reilly & Lee. Copyright 1913, this printing is circa 1922, as advertisements on back of half title page list to Kabumpo in Oz. Beautiful color illustrated endpapers, and many fabulous color illustrations, including some double page, by John R Neill throughout the text.
This is a very good copy overall. The binding is exceptionally clean, with both covers and spine bright and unfaded with just light wear. Inside, the front hinge paper is partially split but still tight, while the rear hinge paper is split top to bottom but still holding well. The Book Belongs To page has a neat name. The title and dedication pages have a closed tear at the page, and there are some check marks on the list of titles. There is a bookseller’s pencil notation on one of the endpapers and an erased word at the bottom of the dedication page. The rest of the pages are clean and oh, so pretty!
