Description
Here is an interesting Roycroft related item–a piece of paper or stationery with a large Dard Hunter watermark on one side, and a profile image of Dard himself on the other. Hunter created famed designs for the Roycrofters from about 1904 to 1910, and later made handmade paper himself at his own mill. This design is a little different and the paper is thinner than other Hunter papers I have had, so perhaps this was for his personal stationery? Best viewed with a strong light behind.
Measures about 8 1/2″ x 111 3/8″ when unfolded. In nice condition with a small (3/8″) closed edge tear.
