Description
Unusual and funky original postcard featuring the Scarecrow from the wildly popular Wizard of Oz play that debuted in 1902, looking up at one of the giant hats being worn by a lady of that era–“Her Hat Might Scare a Scarecrow”. Dated “Jumbo Lids, 1905” on the front.
In good condition, with light edge wear and unused. A rare early card (note–may not actually be Fred Stone pictured but an artist’s representation of him in the play). Photos and description by Wonderful Books of Oz, copyright protected through the DMCA act of 1998.
