This is a very nice copy of The Wishing Horse of Oz, a first edition Wizard of Oz book from Reilly & Lee Wishing Horse is the 29th Oz book, and the last one to be issued with color plates, so hard to find in the 1st edition (only one printing). Written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, and illustrated by John R. Neill. 12 color plates and 298 pages.
This is a very good or better copy–with a clean cover pastedown (light edge wear), solid spine, and a little fading on back. Inside, the hinges are tight and the front endpaper has a little staining that might be old tape from a jacket, no longer here. The book belongs to page has a 1937 inscription, the pages are generally clean with occasional light foxing, including on the edge of the text block. Alll 12 color plates are present and in very good condition. Overall an attractive, collectible copy!
