Here are two wonderful first issues of Marvel’s “Treasury of Oz” series, Special Collector’s Issues (1975): MGMs Marvelous Wizard of Oz, and The Marvelous Land of Oz. Authorized edition presented by the marvelous Stan Lee, the Wizard actually a crossover by Marvel AND DC. These two oversized comics are each 83 glorious full color pages and 10″ by 13 1/4″ in size, very elaborate. They also each have a two-page Marvelous Land of Oz map and other bonus features in the back. Both issues are labeled Vol 1, #1; I guess that’s because they’re special “Collector’s” Issues. They adapt the story by L. Frank Baum, but the art seems to be based on the MGM character’s features. While Land mentions a forthcoming version of Ozma of Oz, I am not sure that one ever was produced.
The Wizard is in very good condition overall, complete with intact binding and some foxing on the back. Interior graphics in nice shape though there is some age toning to pages. Land is fair only, with some tape at top of cover, edge and spine wear, marker on the title page, fold marks, and some writing inside rear cover.
