Here is the fun Wizard of Oz book by L Frank Baum put out to tie in with the movie in 1939! Published by Bobbs Merrill, this thick edition has 8 original color plates by W.W. Denslow used in the original Wonderful Wizard of Oz book. Copyright 1903, published 1939. This is the second printing of this edition, with blank endpapers instead of the MGM movie stills. The book also has pieces of the original dust jacket laid in–including part of the cover and both flaps.

This copy is in wonderful condition on the outside, with very clean, unfaded green cloth and lettering, including on the spine. Inside, hinges are tight, and pages are generally clean except the endpapers have a brown spot at top and former owner’s silver address sticker. Also, the last few pages, including one color plate, have a little waviness at the top. The other 7 color plates are look beautiful. A brown spot on edge of text block. A nice copy overall.
