Here is the fun Wizard of Oz book by L Frank Baum put out to tie in with the movie in 1939. Published by Bobbs Merrill, this thick edition has color plates by W.W. Denslow used in the original Wonderful Wizard of Oz book. Copyright 1903, published 1939. Shown as Bibliographia Oziana plate 8, first printing according to that source, with the inserted movie stills as sepia-toned endpapers. 207 pages.

This copy is in fair condition only–front cover with a little speckling, spine with some splitting and fraying of cloth at base, rear cover with some staining. Some cloth loss at edges and corners. Inside, front hinge is splitting at base, name on front corner and “Wizard of Oz” paper glued to rear endpaper. 1939 and 1952 inscriptions on blank endpaper. Long tear, about 7″ long, on title page. 7 of the 8 color plates are present, mostly very nice, one with a small tear. About 5 B&W illustrations colored in. The text pages are complete but with a few closed tears here and there. Priced as a reading copy.
