Here is a short letter written by bookseller Alla T Ford to collector Katie Fleming, dated 5/9/83. Ford was one of the 16 founding members of the International Wizard of Oz Club, as well as a serious collector and bookseller. She even compiled 2 Oz-related books herself under her own label! The letter is written on small letterhead, with the original envelope. In it, Alla is worried that she hasn’t heard from Katie in awhile, and apparently she sent her some books on approval. The envelope does have a change of address label, so perhaps that was the problem. She also mentions that her daughter is going to Scandanavia and will be looking for Oz books there! Also included is a newspaper clipping about an exhibit of Ford’s collection in Palm Beach.
