Here is another great Oz find! The Wishing Horse of Oz, copyright 1935, this is an early edition from about 1946, with original dust jacket! Early copies of Wishing Horse seem to be hard to find.
Wishing Horse is the 29th Oz book. Written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, and illustrated by John R. Neill in black and white. Green cloth book. Dust jacket has off-white background. With colored illustration of the Wishing Horse on both book cover (pastedown) and jacket cover.
This exterior of the book is great condition, the pastedown is pretty much perfect and the cloth looks good with light discoloration to the spine. Inside, there is some foxing on the blank endpapers and a the Book Belongs To page has a pencil name. Faint rippling to very top edge of some pages, if you look very closely, but no water staining.
Even better, the dust jacket is in quite nice condition. Very clean and pretty, spine is intact, two closed tears on front, price clipped. It’s in a mylar cover so there is glare in the images that you can ignore.
