Here is “The Visitors from Oz” book with an unusual green buckram library binding. Pictorial library bindings have become very collectible, since they are different and colorful and have been featured in a 2015 Baum Bugle by Bienvenue and Schmidt. Published in 1960 by Reilly & Lee, with beautiful and bold full-color illustrations by Dick Martin. With “American Publishers Company” printed on the back.
The book is in good condition, better than usual for a library book. The cover is still quite attractive, a little staining and faded spots on spine and rear cover where label once were. Inside, binding is tight, and pages are clean except for old library pocket on rear endpaper. A nice item for those who like the unusual, and Dick Martin’s art.
