Here is a nice Speedy in Oz book, copyright 1934 by Ruth Plumly Thompson. This is the hard to find Reilly & Lee 1st edition, 1st printing, with 12 beautiful full color plates by John R. Neill, and black and white illustrated endpapers. This title is especially hard to find in the first printing, since it was published in 1934 and Reilly & Lee stopped including color illustrations in their books in 1935.
This is a very good copy with an intact and attractive color pastedown, a crease to spine, clean cloth front and back. Slight cock to book. Inside, the hinges and hinges are tight, the endpapers are clean, former owner’s inscription and 1934 date on Book Belongs To page. All 12 plates are present and in beautiful condition. Text pages have are mostly clean with light occasional soiling.
A quite nice copy of a hard to find Thompson 1st!
