Description
Here is an early copy of “Rinkitink in Oz”, 10th of the Oz books written by L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1916, this is a 1st edition, 2nd printing published by Reilly & Britton about 1918, listing books to The Tin Woodman of Oz in front. Also with 12 color plates by John R. Neill and black and white decorated endpapers.
This is good only copy, with some flaws. The exterior has light scuffing to pastedown, spine with a little splitting starting at ends, rear cover is nice, but corners are a little worn. Inside, both hinges are cracked with webbing showing, the front one partially glue repaired and the rear one quite loose, but holding. Former owner’s name on the front endpaper and erased name on the Book Belongs To page. All 12 color plates are present, but the frontis and at least one other have been trimmed and reinserted (these two still have a bit of chipping at edges). A few small edge tears and spots. A hard to find early printing, offered at a discount due to condition.
