Here is an early edition of “Pirates in Oz”, one of the harder to find and thus more desirable vintage Oz titles. Written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, successor to L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1931 by Reilly & Lee, this is a post-1935 printing with black and white illustrations by John R. Neill.
Book is in fair to good condition, with some flaws, so I’m pricing accordingly and putting it in my “Wild and Homeless” category. Cover pastedown is complete with light rubbing. Spine has a little fraying and is slightly buckled, with a little tear to the cloth on the back side. Interior has browning to endpapers and hinged reglued, so the endpapers don’t lie completely flat. Book Belongs To page is blank, but some of the pages have brown staining–see photo for some of the worst. Reading copy; offered at a discount due to condition.
