Description
Here is an Ozma of Oz book with the hard-to-find Roycraft dust jacket. Ozma of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum and published by Reilly & Lee, copyright 1907. In about 1959, just eleven of the Oz books were issued in special dust jackets designed by designed by Roland Roycraft. These were only in production for a few years before being replaced by the “white cover” editions without dust jackets, which are much more common. The cloth book cover is blank, as always with this jacket. This is definitely one of the prettiest Roycraft jackets, IMO.
Book is in fair condition only–cover clean but endpapers have some wear/tearing where apparently dust jacket was formerly taped to book, tear along inner margin of first page, rear blank endpaper detached with tape marks, rear hinge heavily cracked. Jacket has a tape mark along bottom front, and some archival tape on back areas but tears do not go all the way through to the front of the jacket. Rear flap with some tearing, not price clipped. Offered at a nice discount due to condition,
