Here is an early copy of “The Land of Oz”, 2nd of the Oz books written by L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1904, this is a 1920s printing with 12 color plates by John R Neill. With the paste-down cover label, and black and white pictorial endpapers.
This book is in good but not very good condition. The exterior is in nice condition, with a clean cover plate, a little creasing to spine and light soiling to rear cover. Inside, the front hinge has been glue repaired a little messily; the rear hinge is clean and intact. All 12 color plates are present are present and in very good condition except for one, which is detached and a ragged at the fore-edge. There is toning opposite the color plates, but otherwise the pages are in good condition.
