Here is a copy of The Hungry Tiger of Oz book, with one of the hardest to find and cutest Roycraft dust jackets. In about 1959, just eleven of the Oz books were issued in special dust jackets designed by Roland Roycraft. These were only in production for a few years before being replaced by the “white cover” editions without dust jackets, which are more common. The Hungry Tiger of Oz was written by Ruth Plumly Thompson and published by Reilly & Lee, copyright 1926. B&W illustrations by John R Neill inside.
Ex-library book in fair condition–library pocket and stamps, and old tape marks on endpapers. Faint tape marks on book exterior and some fading to cloth at top of spine. Jacket is fair to good–still with attractive graphics, but the rear flap has the title list cut off, so it’s very narrow, and there is some chipping at top and bottom of spine. So, not the best of shape, but still nice to have to complete your Roycraft jacket collection.
