Here is one of the most desirable of L. Frank Baum’s non-Oz books, The Sea Fairies. This is a fun printing from the 60’s, published by Reilly & Lee, still retaining original copyright date of 1911. Book Collector’s Guide to Baum dates it to 1969. Book has a blank cloth cover with silver spine lettering, lavender endpapers and black and white illustrations by John R. Neill. The eye-popping dust jacket design is not by Neill, but an adaptation of one of his earlier covers by Lois Axeman, and clearly shows the influence of art of the 60’s.

Book is very good plus condition–clean and tight, no marks or tears except an original price stamp on front endpaper. The dust jacket is near very good–complete and bright, but with some foxing visible on white areas, and a couple closed tears (1″ or less). Price clipped. A nice and unusual addition to your Baum collection!
