Here is “The Magic of Oz”, 13th of the Oz books written by L Frank Baum. Copyright 1919 by Reilly & Lee, this is a first edition, first printing with a light green cloth cover, titles only to The Tin Woodman of Oz on the rear of the Book Belongs To page, and 12 beautiful color plates by the magnificent illustrator, John R. Neill. Points as given by the Book Collector’s Guide to L Frank Baum reference.
In very good overall condition. Pastedown on cover has light scuffing; the spine and rear cover look very nice and clean. Inside, the hinges are tight, light age toning but clean illustrated endpapers, pages very good, ownership page with 1019 gift inscription, all 12 plates present and in nice condtion, though one is slightly detached at the base and one may have been reglued. Overall, a collectible copy of a hard to find Baum first.
