Here is a nice early copy of “The Land of Oz”, 2nd of the Oz books written by L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1904, this is a ca. 1933 printing published by Reilly & Lee, just around the time when they dropped the color plates to cut costs. We know this because the original dust jacket lists titles to Ojo in Oz, which was published in 1933.
The book is in very good condition, with the paste-down cover label on bright red cloth, and blank endpapers. Age toning to endpapers but otherwise the pages are very clean throughout, no writing, odor or tears. The dust jacket looks pretty nice on the exterior, with some chipping at spine ends and small tears, but have been repaired on the back side with clear tape (see photo). Still a decent example of an early Oz dust jacket.
