Here is an early copy of Ozma of Oz, the third Oz book by L. Frank Baum. This edition with color illustrations in a hard to find pictorial cover design by John R. Neill–nicknamed Slinky Ozma. Copyright 1907, this printing by Reilly & Lee was only released between about 1929-1934, after which the color illustrations were discontinued. The book is profusely illustrated with beautiful full color and single color illustrations (more than the usual 12). Some of Neill’s best work, in my opinion.
This book is in good to very good condition–with some wear rubbing and wear to the cover plate, edge wear, and a little fading to spine. Inside, the hinges are tight, the pages have some soiling, but no writing or tears. (The Book Belongs To page does have a name in ink). The illustrations are charming, and a hard to find early version of this title, only the second of this printing I’ve every been able to offer.
