Here is the “The Lost Princess of Oz” book, 11th of the Oz books written by L Frank Baum. First published in 1917, this is a vintage Reilly & Lee edition with the color pastedown and black and white illustrations throughout by John R Neill. The early dust jacket is present and lists titles to Ojo in Oz, dating the book to about 1933. This was about the time that the publisher dropped the color plates, so this must have been one of the first of those versions. With a beautiful turquoise cloth.
This book is in very good condition, great pastedown and exterior with just light wear to spine ends. Solid binding & hinges, with some light foxing to endpapers. Former owner’s name and address on Book Belongs To page, which also has 1942 date and “From Mrs. Botsford” written. No other markings, very clean.
The dust jacket is good only with some chipping at spine ends and check marks on some of the Oz books on the rear flap.
