Here is a fair early edition of “The Lost King of Oz”, one of the harder to find vintage Oz books. Written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, successor to L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1925 by Reilly & Lee, this is circa 1927-1928 printing with 12 beautiful color plates by John R. Neill. Blue cloth with the plates coated on both sides, and bold Reilly & Lee spine imprint (see Book Collector’s Guide to Baum). Book is in fair condition, one of my “wild and homeless” books for the non judgmental collector.
Moderate rubbing to pastedown, some splitting to external spine cloth, front hinge badly cracked with some of mull broken, but will hold if you’re gentle. Faint water mark to corners of pages and plates. The pages are otherwise clean. All 12 color plates are present with one loose. Offered at a steep discount due to condition.
