Here is a first edition of “The Lost King of Oz”, one of the harder to find and thus more desirable vintage Oz titles. Written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, successor to L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1925 by Reilly & Lee, 1st edition, 1st printing according to the Book Collector’s Guide to Baum, as it has 12 beautiful color plates by John R. Neill, with a glossy coating only on the front side.
Book is in very good condition overall, with light rubbing to the color pastedown, clean spine and rear cover, slight cock to book. Inside, the hinges are tight and the endpapers are clean, faint name on ownership page, and some finger soiling to pages. There is some rubbing to edges of the text block. The 12 color plates are intact and in great condition. A nice collectible copy.
