Description
Here is a Popular Edition of “The Land Oz”, written by L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1939; this Reilly & Lee edition was issued in response to the MGM movie release of Wizard of Oz. B&W illustrations by John R. Neill. Unusual large format relative to the other Oz books, 7 1/4″ by 9 3/4″ and 1 5/8″ thick.
This book is in very good condition, very clean exterior and spine, tight binding, a little staining to edge of text block and endpapers. No writing or tears.
The dust jacket is fair only, missing a big chunk at bottom of front, substantial wear and tear to spine ends, some chipping as shown. Hard to find in any condition, and now protected in a mylar-type cover.
