Description
Here is a beautiful 1st edition, 1st printing of Jack Pumpkinhead of Oz, written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, successor to L. Frank Baum. Copyright 1929 by Reilly & Lee, this contains all 12 color plates by John R Neill, which marks it as the first printing according to the Book Collector’s Guide to Baum.
This book is in near fine condition on the exterior, with clean cloth, bright pastedown, nice spine and sharp corners. Inside, the pages have age toning, especially the endpapers, but are otherwise clean with no tears and without writing save for an erased pencil name on the Book Belongs To page. Good hinges, tight binding. All 12 color plates are present and in excellent condition. Overall, a very collectible copy of this Thompson first.
