Here is an early printing of “The Hungry Tiger of Oz”, with 12 color plates by John R. Neill and also illustrated endpapers. Written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, first published by Reilly & Lee in 1926, this is a slightly later printing (circa 1930-1935), with color plates coated on the back side (see The Book Collector’s Guide to L. Frank Baum). This is one of my favorite Oz books, with stunning color plates.
The book is in very good condition, with light rubbing to pastedown and cloth. Book is straight and hinges are tight. Endpapers have age toning and bookseller’s pencil notations. Ownership page has name with 1934 date. The pages are in very good condition and all 12 color plates are present and quite nice. A hard to find book in collectible condition with all the plates.
