Description
Here is a copy of Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz with the hard-to-find Roycraft dust jacket. In about 1959, just eleven of the Oz books were issued in special dust jackets designed by Roland Roycraft. These were only in production for a few years before being replaced by the “white cover” editions without dust jackets, which are much more common. The cloth cover on these is blank. Dorothy was written by L. Frank Baum and published by Reilly & Lee, copyright 1908. Jacket flaps both give a synopsis of the book. Blank endpapers.
Book is in near fine condition, with clean cloth, tight binding and no writing or tears. Dust jacket is near very good, with some closed tears (worst about 1″ long) corner wear, and light fading to spine. Not price-clipped. Protected in archival plastic cover. A nice copy overall.
