Here is an unusual old Oz ephemeral item, “The Wizard of Oz: Play in Three Acts”. The Junior League plays, dramatized by Elizabeth Fuller Goodspeed, from the story by L. Frank Baum. A small green softcover, copyright Samuel French, 1928, 72 pages. Apparent first edition, as there seem to be reprints with later dates available online, but this only has the 1928 date. Also, this dramatized by Elizabeth Fuller “Goodspeed” and later copies by Elizabeth Fuller “Chapman”. “By special arrangement with the owner, Mrs. L Frank Baum”, and with much legalese on the back of the copyright page about what can and can’t be done (no music!), royalties to be paid and such.

Prior owner’s name written at top of cover, corner bumping but otherwise in very good condition with some age toning and light wear. One page with odd fold mark at base. Tight binding. A rare survivor.
