Here is a rare set of 6 children’s booklets by Wizard of Oz author Ruth Plumly Thompson, each containing two stories with titles for each story on one cover (front or back). Thompson originally wrote these storied for the Philadelphia Public Ledger and they are published by Murray Publications, where she is credited at bottom of inside cover. Even one of these books are scarce, especially in this 1st book edition format (later they were reprinted by Donohue). Each features two full color covers plus 14 interior pages of gorgeous color illustrations by Charles Coll.

Booklets include Lucky Peter & Old Doc Turtle, Poor Teddy & Princess White Mouse, Piggy Goes To College & Piggy At The Fair, Tommy Frog Goes Fishing & Tommy Frog And The Pirate, Willie and the Pirate and the Apple Pie Princess (a super rare title), and Tommy in Topsy Turvy Land (two segments). All in very good condition with light edge wear except for Poor Teddy/Princess White Mouse, which has some cover staining, missing a corner and short edte tears.
