Here is a nice copy of an unusual book by Oz author Ruth Plumly Thompson, King Kojo, published in 1938 by the David McKay Co. It has 8 attractive full color plates by Marge, who also illustrated Little Lulu. Thompson’s story was originally serialized in King Comics, but this is the first edition of the book.
This book is very good overall, with some light scratching/soiling to the front color pastedown, a solid spine and some spotting/discoloration to rear cover. The interior is quite nice, with intact hinges, tight binding, and pen inscription on front endpaper. The 8 plates are mostly in very good shape, one with a small 1/4″ closed tear at the top. Light soiling on some pages. Presents well.
