Here is an 1908 edition of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, published by the Roycrofters. This book is also special is that the cover design is by Wizard of Oz illustrator W W Denslow, while the title page, first text page and colophon have a lovely wine and grape design by Dard Hunter. Denslow’s seahorse logo is on the cover and Hunters initials are as well on some of the initials and decorative images. And as it that wasn’t enough, it’s printed on paper with the Roycroft orb and cross watermark! 71 pages with decorative color title page and colophon at rear.
In good condition. The suede is still soft and lovely but there is a small portion fraying/missing at base of spine. Inside, the binding is intact and the pages are in very good shape with light wear. There is also a pencil gift inscription (a nice poem) on one of the front blank endpapers.
