Here is a rare little piece of Roycroft ephemera: “Not A Message to Garcia”, a 4-page ode to Will George Butler, a violinist who played in the Roycroft Salon and at their conventions. Circa 1920, 6″x9″, and filled with quotes from Elbert Hubbard I and II about Butler’s skills. This Will George Butler is apparently different from author George F Butler, who knew W W Denslow. I have never seen this piece before, and can find no mention of its existence on the comprehensive RoycroftBooks website or elsewhere online.
In good condition, complete but with fold marks and a tear and thinning at top of last page from being removed from an album.
